Do I need to be a current Shift4 Dine customer to refer?
No. Anyone can refer a restaurant — current customers, industry contacts, equipment vendors, consultants, friends in the business. If you know someone who'd benefit from Shift4 Dine, the referral program is open to you.
When do I get paid?
Payment is issued after the referred restaurant has fully signed on with Shift4 Dine and is processing transactions through the platform. Typical timing is 30–60 days from sign-up, depending on deployment timeline.
What if my referral isn't a perfect fit for Shift4 Dine?
Refer them anyway. Part of our job is the qualification conversation — figuring out whether Shift4 Dine actually fits their operation. If it doesn't, we'll tell them honestly. Either way, you've made the introduction in good faith.
Is there a limit to how many restaurants I can refer?
No cap. Refer one restaurant a year or one a week — there's no ceiling on payouts. Operators with deep industry networks can earn significantly through this program.
Will I be involved in the sales process?
Only as much as you want to be. Most referrers prefer to make the introduction and step back — we handle the demo, configuration conversation, and contract. We'll keep you informed on progress, but you're not on the hook for selling anything.
What information do I need to submit a referral?
Just the basics: restaurant name, location, a contact person if you have one, and a quick note about who they are. The more context you can share about why they'd be a good fit, the better — but a name and contact is enough to get started.
